Nothing Special, which borrows its name from Andy Warhol’s unfulfilled TV program, is an ever-evolving stage play written and performed by Melanie Anne, comprised entirely of found text.
Beginning in 2016 as a one-woman-show, Nothing Special takes you into the world of Edie Sedgwick, the 1960’s New York socialite and Andy Warhol’s most iconic superstar. The show is a social commentary on fame and consumerism in America through Edie’s decadence, self- indulgence, drugs and desperation.
An immersive experience, the atmosphere revives Warhol’s Factory parties with an open bar, live music, and tinfoil walls that guests are welcomed to draw on.
